Hyatt's named hotel for Punta Bergantín is Hyatt Zilara Punta Bergantin. Hyatt described it in January 2025 as a planned adults-only resort with 508 keys inside the larger development. It remains listed in Hyatt's hotel pipeline; it should be described as planned, not open. Hyatt's 2025 release projected a 2026 opening, but a pipeline target can change.

Zilara sits within Hyatt's all-inclusive collection. That positioning tells us more about the intended guest than an early rendering could: a couple seeking a resort stay on the North Coast, with Puerto Plata's excursions and culture close enough to shape the trip. It also gives Punta Bergantín a different hotel format alongside Meliá's announced project. Whether the final experience feels connected to Puerto Plata will depend on the finished resort and its local partnerships.

For future visitors, the sensible question is when official Hyatt reservations become available and what the published inclusions actually cover. For nearby property buyers, a hotel brand can be a useful signal of attention to a district, but it does not establish a neighboring home's delivery date, rental yield or resale value. Those depend on the specific property, documents and market.

What to watch: Hyatt's property page, confirmed opening date, brand and room count updates, and the resort's actual access and amenities.

Brand distinction: Hyatt Zilara is an adults-only, all-inclusive resort brand. It is different from Hyatt Ziva, the family-oriented sister concept already operating elsewhere in the country. Hyatt's own pipeline still lists the Bergantín property as a pipeline hotel. That is the best answer to the common question, “Can I book it yet?” When it does open, compare its actual inclusions and beach setting with other North Coast stays instead of using an older projected date to plan travel.
